This Sport Roadster was restored by Ed Jacobwitz who was the Gardner historian for many years.  Ed did an authentic restoration and was one of the few people with the knowledge to do so.

This is the only known 1931 Model 158 of any body style.  The model 158 had all of the deluxe features.
1931 was the last year for Gardner and only 187 vehicles of all models were built.

Long wheel base and large eight-in-line engine.  A full Classic with the Classic Car Club of America.

299 CID 126HP (Lycoming MDG yellow jacket), 130" w/b, hydraulic brakes, dual side mounts, price new approximately $2,400 FOB St. Louis.
(Note: A 1930 Gardner Sport Roadster was a Pebble Beach entry this year)
